Florida Integrated Network
for Data Exchange and Retrieval (FINDER): http://finder.ucf.edu/
- This project started in 2002 and installed the first version of FINDER in October
2003 connecting 5 law enforcement agencies in a federated peer-to-peer data sharing
system. The system now has users from nearly every major law enforcement agency in the state of Florida and is in release version 4. It provides simple seamless query
capability of hundreds of data sources and has provided a key role in solving hundreds of crimes.
Seminole County Integrated
Network (SCINET): http://www.seminolesci.net
- The SCINET project started in June of 2003 with the goal of analyzing government
business process, providing recomendations for process improvement, and software
development to support the process changes. Since then analysis and refinement of
hundreds of processes has taken place along with the supporting software development saving Seminole County millions of dollars in simple efficiency improvements annually.
Central Florida Crimeline
Warrants: http://www.cfcrimelinewarrants.com
- The crimeline warrants project objective was to provide a simple web interface
to view active warrants to support the mission of Central Florida Crimeline. The
active site is a complex software rquiring active synchronization with the agencies
wishing to post warrant information, and has had thousands of users.
Orange County Crimenet:
- A simple request from the sheriff's office after watching the TV show "The District" and seeing the analysis and briefing software used on the show resulted in OCSO Crimenet. This software in active use by the OCSO provides mapping (using ESRI tools), analysis and efficiency tools (written in .NET) to increase the effectiveness of the Sheriff's Office.

- This software written in .NET was designed to streamline and improve the
assessment process at UCF. It includes complex state-based workflow and implements
some software advances such as non-programmatic interface control and automated
video based embedded training. All utlizing a custom AJAX engine for a seamless
user interface experience.
